Zhao Gongzheng Director of the Multi-omics Mass Spectrometry Core

Ph.D. from the University of Warwick, UK. Joined SZBL in 2020 to oversee the development and operation of the multi-omics mass spectrometry core, and to focus on mass spectrometer front-end modification and proteomics technology development. Published over 10 papers in journals such as Angewandte Chemie, Chemical Communications, and Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, and obtained one patent.

Sun Zheng Assistant Engineer

Master’s degree from the University of Greenwich, UK. Responsible for managing, maintaining, and training on several instruments, including quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometers, automated preparative liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry systems, analytical high-performance liquid chromatographs, and semi-preativepar high-performance liquid chromatographs. Also assists in managing and maintaining triple hybrid high-resolution mass spectrometers and combination quadrupole orbitrap mass spectrometers.

Zheng Ting Assistant Engineer

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and training on several instruments, including Triple Quad 6500+ LC-MS/MS System, Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer and High Resolution Ion Mobility MS. Also assists engineers in designing multi-omics analysis technical solutions and developing novel detection technologies for the core. Holds a master's degree from Harbin University of Commerce (jointly trained at the State Key Laboratory of Natural and Biomimetic Drugs, Peking University) and has participated in National Natural Science Foundation projects.

Li E Assistant Engineer

Master’s degree from Jinan University. Focuses on metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics analysis, and intact protein analysis, including sample pretreatment optimization, testing method selection, and data analysis. Manages and maintains Q Exactive Plus Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer, Triple Quadrupole Liquid Chromatograph, Triple Quadrupole Gas Chromatograph and SYNAPT XS Ion Mobility Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer. Trains and assesses laboratory personnel on instrument operation and assists users with routine instrument use.

Zhang Meiying Assistant Engineer

Master’s degree from Jinan University. Focuses on the application, optimization, and development of proteomics-related experimental technologies. Manages, maintains, and provides training on analytical/semi-preparative/bioinert HPLC systems. Supports sample preparation for proteomics experiments. Assists in managing and maintaining advanced mass spectrometers, including the Q-TOF 6600+, automated preparative LC-MS system, TripleTOF 6600+ , Orbitrap Fusion Lumos, and Orbitrap Exploris 480.
