Yang Kai Engineer

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and user training of scanning electron microscopes, and provides full - process services for 3D volumetric scanning electron microscopy, including sample preparation, data acquisition, and post - processing 3D reconstruction. Also conducts training for data analysis software such as Imaris, HALO, and Dragonfly. Holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, with extensive research experience in 3D volumetric electron microscopy of biological tissues. Published achievements in renowned academic journals such as iScience and PNAS.

Liu Shan Electron Microscope Engineer

Responsible for the management of equipment like cryo-TEM, high-pressure freezers, cryo-ultramicrotomes, large-scale cryostats, and mechanical microscopes. PhD from Harbin Institute of Technology. Participated in several National Natural Science Foundation projects. Published several SCI papers.

Lin Xiaobing Engineer

Responsible for the management and maintenance of Lightsheet microscope, Two-photon microscope, Tissue Clearing Equipment, Inverted Fluorescence Microscopes, Nikon A1 Confocal Microscope, as well as users training and assessment, and the preparation of tissue transparency samples, etc. Graduated with a doctorate from the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, with six SCI articles have been published, among which as the first author in the journals Nature Communications and Aging Cell respectively. One invention patent was obtained.

Yu Mei Assistant Engineer

Responsible for managing and training users on optical microscopes such as super-resolution microscopes, high-content imaging systems, and high-throughput live-cell imaging systems, and providing imaging technical solutions for researchers. Holds a master's degree from Nankai University. In the past five years, published SCI papers in journals like Neurobiology of Disease and Nature Communications as the first author, and obtained one utility model patent.

Huang Shixian Assistant Engineer

Responsible for managing and training users on microscope imaging equipment such as laser confocal microscopes, live-cell imaging systems, and slide scanning systems, and promoting their open sharing. Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Southern Medical University. Has nearly 4 years of experience in designing and building light - sheet microscopes and in photoacoustic imaging research.

Responsible for sample preparation, including paraffin and cryostat sectioning. Also manages and maintains equipment like large-scale cryostats, paraffin embedders, and slide stainers/coverslippers, conducts training and assessments, and promotes their open usage.

Zhao Chunyue Assistant Engineer

Responsible for managing and operating atomic force microscopes, high-throughput imaging analysis systems, and other microscopic imaging equipment. This includes managing and maintaining related equipment, conducting training and assessments, facilitating open access and sharing, and performing sample testing. With nearly four years of experience in atomic force microscope sample testing and related research, I am familiar with the testing processes and analysis of both material-type and biological-type samples.
