Cheng Dechun Director of the Biochemistry Core

Responsible for the development, operation, and technical innovation of Biochemistry Core, and worked directly with Sony cell sorters and Standard Biotool mass cytometers. Holds a Ph.D. from Harbin Medical University, was promoted to associate professor in 2012, conducted research at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (2015–2016) and Scripps Florida (2016–2017), and joined SZBL in 2021. Played a key role in the 11th Five-Year National Major Infectious Disease Project and three National Natural Science Foundation projects. Headed three provincial and bureau-level fund projects. Received the First Prize of Medical Science and Technology Award of Heilongjiang Province, owns two national invention patents, and published numerous papers in BBRC, Molecular Therapy, Microbiology Spectrum, etc.

Sun Mengsi Assistant Engineer for Molecular Interaction

Responsible for Biacore8k, OctetRED384, ITC, MST and other molecular interaction related equipment. Holds a master's degree in biomedical engineering from Hunan University. Participated in several National Natural Science Foundation projects. Published in top international journals such as Plant Science, Science Advances, and Analytical Chemistry. Acknowledged in articles in renowned journals like Nature Communications, SCIENCE ADVANCED, and mBio. Contributed to over ten publications.

Li Mengyuan Flow Cytometry Assistant Engineer

Holding a mid-level professional title, and after obtaining a master’s degree from Sichuan University in 2018, he has been dedicated to flow cytometry-related work. He has strong theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience, being proficient in operating various flow cytometers such as BD, BC, Cytek, Bio-Rad, SONY, and Fluidigm. His skill set includes high-dimensional flow cytometry experiment design and optimization, flow sorting applications, and FlowJo data analysis. In addition, he has taught flow cytometry theory and hands-on courses and has played a key role in platform building and operation. He has also published three SCI papers.

Song Fan NMR Assistant Engineer

Master's degree from Central South University. Joined SZBL in 2020. Primarily operate and manage NMR spectrometers, DSC, and FTIR spectrometers. Published over five papers in journals like Tetrahedron, New Journal of Chemistry, and Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry.

A master’s graduate from Lanzhou University, Mainly responsible for Circular Dichroism Spectrometers,AKTA protein purification systems, Nanoparticle Tracking Analyzers, and Dynamic Light Scattering , etc..

Huang Zhiqing Assistant Engineer

Technical support in flow cytometry and over 10 years of experience in flow analysis and sorting, proficient in operating and applying flow cytometry instruments. Include designing and optimizing multicolor flow cytometry protocols,multicolor analysis and sorting, and analyzing high-dimensional flow cytometry data. Currently, focus on maintaining and operating the Aurora spectral flow cytometer, CytoFLEX LX flow cytometer, and FACS Aria III cell sorter.

Guo Qingqing Assistant Engineer

Hold a master's degree from Shenzhen University and have extensive experience in biosafety laboratory construction and management. Responsibilities core around equipment like flow cytometers. Published three papers in journals such as BMC Microbiology and JOL.
